Ultimate Braai Master (Season Four): New route, new rules, and new headline sponsor! @UltimateBraai @RobertsonsSpice

Ultimate Braai Master is back and gearing up for its Fourth Season with Robertsons Herbs & Spices who have come on board as the new headline sponsor, going hand-in-hand with the new game changes to South Africa’s toughest outdoor cooking competition. A new route, new rules and new challenges – this year it’s GAME ON!

Says Marketing Manager Deeolan Govender: “We at Robertsons Herbs & Spices are delighted to come on board as title sponsor for Ultimate Braai Master, Season Four. We see the show as one of the premier food shows in South Africa, with great production values and highly engaging content, and one that fits in perfectly with our content-driven strategy.”

With continued support from Coca-Cola, KWV, and South African Tourism’s Sho’t Left, Series Presenter, Justin Bonello will once again be joined by Ultimate Braai Master Judges, esteemed Executive Chef Bertus Basson and Chef Petrus Madutlela. Together they will dish up tougher challenges for Season Four’s top hopeful teams as contestants drive, camp and braai their way across 13 of South Africa’s most breath-taking and remote locations. This time around the game has changed and it all starts with the auditions!

As usual there will be regional auditions in Johannesburg and Cape Town, but (removed) there’s a twist! Justin Bonello and his film crew will travel to shortlisted teams from KZN, Eastern Cape and Free State, where teams will have the opportunity to braai from their backyard to see if they have what it takes to get those braai-singed fingers on the R500 000 cash, the brand new car, the title of South Africa’s Ultimate Braai Master and so much more! This season there will only be 13 spots around the Ultimate Braai Master fire. Season Four will still be hosted by SA’s favourite celebrity bush cook, but this year he is going to be much more involved with the teams as they travel.

Last year’s winners, Yusuf and Stephen of team Tikka Boys, have gone on to open their new restaurant, ‘La Vierge’ and are gearing up for their trip with Justin Bonello to India, sponsored by Robertson Herbs & Spices, as part of their prize for claiming the title of South Africa’s Ultimate Braai Master.

Says Justin: “It’s really great to have Robertsons Herbs & Spices on board as our headline sponsor for the Fourth Season of the Ultimate Braai Master and they’ve got a host of new prizes lined up for any hopeful Braai Masters. They’re sending us up to India in the next couple of weeks and I’m really excited about going to the spice capital of the world because I’ve never been there before. And for this season, the new changes to the game promise to deliver more action, more drama, and more prizes with Robertsons sending the winners to Las Vegas to join the famous ‘Braai Boy’ and represent South Africa in the World Barbeque Championship, so there’s a lot to look forward to!”

Says Executive Producer, Peter Gird, “We are thrilled that Robertsons have agreed to continue their journey with Ultimate Braai Master as headline partner. This partnership got off to a great start from day one and we are very excited to be able to play a role in continuing to grow such a great brand within the thread of this premium entertainment property, which now enjoys over one million viewers per week! This year promises UBM fans a number of game changers that will most certainly ‘spice’ things up! We look forward to building this partnership with Robertsons and thank them for seeing the value that our Branded Entertainment model offers all our clients.”
