The Private Hotel School (TPHS) is opening a second campus in Johannesburg on August, 2018.

Following on from its much lauded and successful Stellenbosch campus, The Private Hotel School (TPHS) is opening a second campus in Johannesburg on August, 2018.

In its 13 years of operation in Stellenbosch, The Private Hotel School has become renowned for offering exceptional hospitality training and higher education and for being recognised as one of South Africa’s industry leaders in the profession. Many of the institution’s alumni have gone on to establish themselves in 5-star hotels and award-winning restaurants both locally and abroad and almost 100 percent of graduates find employment upon completion of their courses.

The Private Hotel School, with its skilled team of professionals, teaching nationally and internationally accredited courses, is one of the more sought-after hotel schools in South Africa offering a career in the world of hospitality. Its curriculum combines innovative and leading-edge hospitality instruction with sound practical training and knowledge of the hospitality industry. This allows it to provide tomorrow’s hospitality industry leaders with the hands-on training, educational and cultural awareness skills necessary to succeed in today’s competitive global economy.

The institution also aims to foster international goodwill and friendship. Students are trained to master professional skills and obtain high levels of the specialised knowledge needed to excel in the hospitality environment. Its qualifications are accredited by AHA-IHMS, allowing students to complete their optional third year in the USA. The Higher Education Act (Act No 10 of 1997) and the regulations for registration of Private Higher Education Institutions, make it compulsory for private institutions offering full qualifications in higher education to register with the Department of Higher Education and Training. By complying with the requirements of The Higher Education Act, TPHS ensures that all programmes on offer are of quality and aligned with national and international standards.

The premises for the new campus is located in Rosebank, in the middle of the vibey Keyes Art Mile and, with a capacity for 100 students, the new facilities are inclusive of conference and lecture venues, a fully operational restaurant, an onsite library, offices and beautiful gardens.

With the opening of our Rosebank campus, even more of tomorrow’s hospitality industry leaders will be able to gain the hands-on educational and cultural awareness skills necessary to succeed in a competitive economy.
