It’s almost time for The Craft Revolution Beer festival to head to Jo’burg for a craft-tasting extravaganza on the 9th of August 2014 at Montecasino.
The festival will feature a range of South Africa’s top Craft Breweries, drawing “beer-ginners” and craft beer connoisseurs alike from across South Africa’s provinces. The gates will open from 11h30 to 17h30 and will feature lip-smacking gourmet street food options to pair with your Craft Beer of choice such as Longtom Foods, Reds Roasted Sandwiches and many more.
The following breweries have confirmed their participation at this year’s festival;
Aces Brew Worx, Boston Breweries, Brauhaus am Damm, Brewhogs, Cape Brewing Co., Citizen, Copperlake Breweries, Darling Brew, Devil’s Peak Brewing Company, Everson’s Handcrafted Cider, Jack Black’s, Loxton Lager, SMACK! Republic Brewing Co., Soweto Gold, Swagga Breweries and The Cockpit Brewhouse.
For the wine aficionados among us, there is no need to feel deprived of the luscious grape; the festival will have three sublime wines on offer: Alphabetical, La Capra and Fairview.
In addition to providing the finest craft beers and gourmet street food, The Craft Revolution will entertain with three fantastic, foot-tapping live bands playing throughout the day including; Dalliance, +2 Band and the Mark Beling Band.
All food and drink purchased onsite will be done using the festival currency called “Castros”. Each Castro is worth R5 and can be purchased at the event in denominations of R100 booklets. Tickets cost R120.00 (includes a 500ml draught glass) and can be purchased online at www.iTickets.co.za, www.thecraftrevolution.co.za or on the door. Alcohol not for sales to persons under the age of 18.
The Craft Revolution is the latest offering to launch from the Taste Festivals South Africa stable.
