Win a 3 Day Trip to Swellendam with JoziStyle and the Swellendam Winter School worth R20,000 #swellendamwinterschool #livetolearn #learntolive #TravelJoziStyle

The Swellendam Winter School is being created to bring as many people to Swellendam during the quiet winter months to showcase the many tourist attractions that Swellendam has to offer.

During the 4 winter months (May to August) the Swellendam Winter School will be offering a wide variety of 3 and 5-day courses that will appeal to visitors interested in any of the following 8 themes: Food, Home Crafts, Plants, Fine Art, Birds and Beasts, Adventure, Personal Development and Heritage. There are a variety of courses under each theme – more than 20 courses are currently being finalised, with at least another 30 awaiting development.

Visitors will be occupying Swellendams’ guest houses and venues, visiting restaurants and attractions, spending their money in Swellendam. Caterers will be needed to supply lunches, and transporters to move people around Swellendam. The programme will be finalised during February, and all the courses offered to Swellendammers during March, with the “official” launch in May.

The Swellendam Winter School will become an annual attraction during winter – and will bring thousands of visitors to Swellendam.

We at JoziStyle love supporting local travel, so we have partnered with the Swellendam Winter School to offer 2 lucky JoziStylers an exclusive preview of what is on offer in Swellendam. It is a travel opportunity of a lifestime worth R20,000.

I am an Information Systems graduate and run a Digital Marketing business called Groove SIX Marketers and also founded a food / goods delivery business called Just Courier – WhatsApp Delivery. I am a very active individual who cycles on his spare time. I am very influential on social media to a point where I was chosen to be Lakeside Mall Benoni’s brand ambassador. Going on this trip will definitely make me post and make awareness (trend) about Swellendam Winter School and its public relations. I have realised very early on that travelling is the best way of learning. Most people live life caught up in a routine, and this can make it difficult to find time for reflection. As an individual dedicated to becoming the best version of myself, it’s essential for me to step back and look at myself so that I can evaluate my strengths and weaknesses. By taking a break from your daily life, unplugging from the pulls and pushes of technology and engaging in new activities in new places, you have an easier opportunity to release unwanted habits. Also, it is empowering to surround yourself with people who don’t know the encyclopedia of your past. It reinforces your willingness to broaden your horizons, to get unstuck and to move in new directions. Without travel, you can’t really know the place you’re from. As strange as it may sound, going far helps you understand what’s near a lot better. As often as possible, I try to get away because I know travel can be a powerful tool for personal development. My spouse and I went for a short break to Mozambique last summer. I personally went with the intention of improving my Portuguese. I expected to learn a lot about the language but to my surprise, I learnt more about myself. People don’t take trips, trips take people. Traveling is fatal to prejudice bigotry and narrow-mindedness. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be aquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime. I like traveling because it makes me feel like the citizen of the world and a part of mankind. It’s better to see something once than to hear about it a thousand times. Experience is far more valuable than money will ever be. I love superb food, beautiful objects from jewellery to shoes, art and craft, gardening and personal development. I am a Lover of a keen exercise. Therefore I would really love to go on this trip to Swellendam Winter School with my Spouse to explore, meet new people and do the 3day courses. Everyone thinks travel is about exclamation points, but travel is about the commas; the comma is where a culture and people express themselves. Commas are where we allow ourselves to breathe, to observe, and that’s the travel that I love. #swellendamwinterschool #livetolearn #learntolive #TravelJoziStyle
