Seafood cravings satisfied at Sun City’s Sun Vacation Club

Cravings for fresh fish and seafood can be satisfied at Sun City’s upgraded Sun Vacation Club where one of South Africa’s favoured family restaurant brands, Ocean Basket, has now opened. The new Ocean Basket takes the place of the former Tree Tops restaurant adjacent to the Sun Vacation Club’s sparkling Leopard Pool, at the top of the hill.
The restaurant features the crisp and fresh interior and welcoming ambience for which Ocean Basket is renowned. The restaurant will offer Ocean Basket’s enticing, value-for-money menu, which means guests can enjoy all of their favourite Ocean Basket dishes while holidaying at Sun City.

Ocean Basket at the Sun Vacation Club seats 28 people inside and can accommodate a further 80 people el fresco on the deck overlooking the towers of The Palace of The Lost City. The restaurant will be open daily for lunch and dinner.

“Sun City is thrilled to welcome Ocean Basket to Sun Vacation Club. The restaurant, with its friendly and informal ambience as well as its great value offering, is a great fit within Sun Vacation Club,” says Colin Jonkers, Sun International’s Group Retail Manager.

The opening of Ocean Basket is part of the R800-million refurbishment of Sun City. Part of the extensive upgrade is the transformation of the resort’s food and beverage offering to provide greater choice to customers. Spur, another beloved South African restaurant brand, has also opened at the Sun Vacation Club, while the Sun City Hotel recently celebrated the opening of Mugg & Bean.
