Morukuru Family Madikwe underwent an extensive refurbishment in 2020 and guests, especially during this time of Covid, have really embraced the exclusive-use offering across the three safari houses. “We are thrilled to be recognised, for a second year running, as South Africa’s Best Resort. We are also especially pleased to see Morukuru Family Madikwe moving up the list to no 4 from 18th last year and AtholPlace House & Villa back on the list. The travel industry has been so badly affected by the global pandemic and we thank all our wonderful guests and travel trade who took the time to vote for us and support us. It has been wonderful to see so many South African’s travelling to our properties this year and exploring the country but we can’t wait to welcome the rest of the world back to our beautiful country and our properties” says Ed Zeeman, Owner.
“We would also like to say a huge thank you to our amazing and loyal staff for their dedication, hard work and passion for our properties and ensuring our guests have the most memorable stay possible. Without them, this recognition would not have been possible. We would also like to congratulate all the incredible properties on the list, it is a huge privilege to be recognised alongside some of the best in the world. We thank Condé Nast Traveler for showcasing our properties and our continent to the world and look forward to travel opening up globally as we are ready to welcome travellers from far and wide” concludes Zeeman.
