What do you love about Jozi?
I like that everything is no more than 30-40 minutes away and there are always gems to find in a city that I think I know.

Digital marketing strategy, podcasting and I’m also a keynote speaker.
Are you a morning or evening person?
Probably a very reluctant mid-morning person after brunch, but I like the odd morning run or training. I prefer to wind down in the evenings, away from it all.
Describe a typical or ideal day in your life?
The ideal is a day out at a market outdoors with brunch and great coffee with friends or people I’ve just met with interesting stories.
What makes someone a JoziStyler?
It’s the ease with which I make new connections, the relatable stories I have with other people in and around Joburg. Mostly, it’s the desire for adventure and the love-hate relationship I have with the hustle and bustle.
How do you spend your weekends in Jozi?
I spend them in search of a new but familiar experience, such as the odd market, brunch somewhere and the most favourite is being home.
What’s your favourite season in Jozi?
Spring is by far my favourite. It’s warm enough to be out hiking, running and exploring with little rain. It’s also not so hot that a short that pools are lukewarm.
Your number one reason for people to visit Jozi?
The vibe, whatever that is to you – Jozi has it.
Your favourite hotel in Jozi for a #Staycation?
An AirBnB in Linden, Muldersdrift or Rosebank – they have a unique personality.
Your favourite holiday spot outside Jozi?
The Greater Kruger – Simbavati to be specific. The bush is a great experience, Cape Town or the many small towns around South Africa on a road trip.
Your favourite restaurant in Jozi?
Marble is an absolute favourite for fine dining and Saigon Suzy for a night out with creative eats.

Southern Sun deck in Hyde Park.
Describe your ideal date night in Jozi?
Great food at a restaurant where the food is memorable and creative.
What do you do to relax in your spare time?
I’d love to find some spare time! I go for the odd hike, hang out with family or find a spot to experience something unusual.
What is the one thing you look forward to during holiday seasons?
The different experiences on offer around Joburg and in various food markets, when those were still open.
Have you got a favourite shoe?
Yes. These are leather sneakers that no one is allowed to touch, move or even look at.
Where would you take someone for coffee who is visiting Jozi for the first time?
Doubleshot in Braamfontein, where they don’t only make great coffee they roast their beans too.
