Miss South Africa is visiting garden route areas affected by fires @Official_MissSA #KnysnaFire.

Miss South Africa Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters is currently visiting a number of Garden Route areas affected by recent devastating fires to give her support and help.

To date Nel-Peters has helped raise more than R600 000 for a Knysna/Garden Route fire relief initiative. All monies collected are being used by the Sedgefield Lions to buy much needed supplies including water, tinned food, baby food, bread, blankets, toiletries and pet food. These are being distributed across the Garden Route to those most in need.

Demi-Leigh grew up in Sedgefield which is part of the affected area.

I want to personally visit communities in both Knysna and Sedgefield and help where I can. My heart goes out to all those who have been affected. I applaud the thousands of South Africans who have helped. It is a time where communities have to come together and help each other.
