New weekend dining menu at forum’s L’Antico Giardino

The kitchen at forum’s L’Antico Giardino in Lanseria will open from 4th March on Saturdays and Sundays for breakfast and lunch. On the last Friday of every month, the kitchen will also be open from 3pm to 6pm for afternoon drinks and snacks – definitely one way to beat the traffic and see in the weekend.

Following on from the forum company’s extremely popular Farm to Table events, the focus for breakfast and lunch follows the same philosophy: sit under the trees and enjoy delicious, fresh food, using produce that has been sourced from the area. As it is on the cycle route towards the Cradle, it is a lovely outdoor option if you want to pop in for a coffee or breakfast after your morning ride. There is also ample space for kids to ride their bikes.

The menu offers an array of delicous offerings – including various moreish vegetarian options. All-day breakfast includes sourdough crumpets, ricotta, honey and wild rocket or a roasted tomato, mushroom, leek, cheese and fresh herb omelette. From 11am till 3pm, there are hearty options if you are feeling peckish: Three rivers salmon trout with a lemon marmalade, organic greens and farm bread and butter; or Free range rib eye of beef, smoked sweet potato fatboys and pickled curry green beans – for 4 people to share.

If you prefer a snack to nibble on, tuck into the soft local cheeses and crackers with ‘just bottled’ seasonal preserve. There is also artisan ice cream, decadent chocolate pots and seasonal fruit. On your way out, make sure that you stock up on preserved fruits, pickled lemons and homemade jams.
