Africa’s largest gaming trade show is set for its 3rd annual event at Emperors Palace, Johannesburg South Africa this year from 16-18 July 2017 and promises to be even better and bigger than before as the event partners with the world’s largest and most recognisable gaming show, ICE Totally Gaming.
Following its move to Johannesburg, Gambling Indaba has grown in leaps and bounds and last year’s event saw attendance triple, with expo gaming floorspace being sold-out and global brands such as Novomatic, IGT, Scientific Games, Aruze, Aristocrat and others being represented. The event looks to underscore its importance on the global gaming calendar as the gaming networking event not-to-be-missed for any operator or business looking to get into the burgeoning African market. Major African gaming operators such as Sun International and Peermont have already thrown their weight and endorsement behind the event, which has seen Gambling Indaba rapidly becoming synonymous with gaming shows in Africa.
“We’re really excited about partnering with the professional team from Clarion Gaming, that runs the world’s largest gaming event, ICE Totally Gaming in London,” says Percy Kwinda, CEO of Gambling Indaba, whose vision to bring all African jursidictions together under one roof to share knowledge, network and improve gaming on the African continent, has seen Gambling Indaba grow rapidly. We believe that Clarion Gaming will bring its instantly-recognisable gaming brand, market knowledge and depth of expertise to Gambling Indaba and help us grow the event to a truly world-standard show worthy of reflecting the exciting developments taking place in gaming across Africa.”
Whilst ICE is a showcase for the global gaming industry in all of its forms, the importance of well-run and professional regional events should not be underestimated. The strategic partnership with what is Africa’s premier gaming industry event, will enable us to work with an organising team that shares our values and alongside exhibitors that we know well. This is a very exciting opportunity and the start of a relationship that we look forward to developing and building upon.

A number of exciting developments are in the works for this year’s event including increased slots, technical and compliance training opportunities from world-recognised service providers, as well as increased focus on other gaming disciplines such as sportsbetting, online, bingo and AWPs (LPMs).
The event has already pre-sold a number of stands during its pre-announcement and companies such as Novomtic Africa and Aruze have once-again endorsed the show with early bookings. Bookings are now open to secure a stand at the event for 2017.
