The combination of food and film makes perfect sense in Hartbeespoort, which in
addition to being blessed with natural beauty and agricultural abundance, is also the
epicentre of South Africa’s cinematic success story; Hartiwood films. This innovative
South African movie making business produced multi-award winning films such as
French Toast and Pretville in the tiny town. The film sets for both these smash hits
have subsequently been turned into thriving café and restaurant spaces.
The Hartiwood Food and Film Night Market @ Pretville takes place at the afore
mentioned famed faux ‘50s, former film set. Tickets available at the gate. R50 adults,
