Wine Menu’s popular Chardonnay & Pinot Noir Festival returns to Jozi!

Wine Menu’s popular Chardonnay & Pinot Noir Festival – regarded as one of the country’s most exclusive boutique wine tastings – returns for its seventh outing and will once again feature an impressive selection of South Africa’s best chardonnays and pinot noirs.

This not-to-be-missed event – the only focused showcase in Gauteng of these two noble varietals – takes place in the Killarney Country Club’s Crystal Room on Thursday, May 10, from 18h00 to 21h00.

Only a limited number of tickets are available and cost R250 per person. The price includes a tasting glass as well as light snacks chosen to complement the styles of wine being sampled.

This is a targeted wine experience that focuses on the flavours and nuances of these two famous Burgundian varietals. Generally many high-end, award-winning pinot noirs and chardonnays are not shown at other festivals because they are often too expensive and with too small a production. People who come to The Chardonnay and Pinot Noir Festival are generally passionate and knowledgeable about wine and are interested in these varietals.

Other farms that will be represented include Glenelly, Springfield, Bouchard Finlayson and Domaine Des Dieux. More estates and wines are still being finalised.

In addition to tastings, the wines will also on sale on the night, often at less than retail prices. Some are no longer available on the general marketplace.
