Celebrate elections with good taste @clico_hotel #DineJoziStyle

Wednesday, August 3, the day on which millions of South Africans will vote in municipal elections, has been declared a public holiday. But you don’t want to spend all your time in a queue waiting to make your mark so take some time out for a hearty breakfast or a scrumptious lunch.

For those whose polling station is Rosebank Primary School what better way to spend an hour or so pre- or post-casting your vote – than by enjoying breakfast or lunch with a bunch of your friends at Clico Restaurant which is located just around the corner in Jellicoe Avenue, Rosebank.

For brekkie you can choose from Eggs Benedict (done four different ways including biltong and bacon!), go for the Full English Breakfast or, if you’re watching your waistline, the healthy breakfast option.

If you prefer lunch, how about Moroccan chicken breast with couscous and seasonal veggies or mussel and tomato risotto? For quicker bites Chef Peter will assemble a delicious beef or chicken burger to your satisfaction or whip up a Thai green curry chicken wrap with toasted coconut, carrot, cucumber and fresh greens. All washed down with a glass of chilled Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonnay!

In addition, free bottomless filter coffee is on offer for either the breakfast or lunchtime sittings.

There is safe and secure parking for Clico Restaurant diners on both 9a Jellico Avenue and around the corner at 27 Sturdee Avenue in Rosebank.

Bookings on +27 (0)11 252 3300.

It makes voting a whole lot more appealing!
