Treat yourself to yourself to a weekend getaway Yoga Retreat – 7 to 9 April 2019 or 6 to 8 October 2019 – in the hills of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands…three days and two nights of yoga, meditation and detoxing to nurture your mind, body and soul, in the exclusive cottages of the Brahman Hills.
From its beautiful location in Blue Crane Nature Reserve where Brahman cattle and abundant wildlife roam free to its comfortable accommodation and scrumptious food, Brahman Hills is a “home away from home”, where everything is taken care of.
Yoga, with its roots in ancient Indian practices has great physical and mental benefits for the body. It tones, detoxes and strengthens muscles in a manner that improves flexibility and blood circulation, which in turn, fine-tunes mental awareness, and thus induces a state of relaxation and calm.
Mandy Wu, the yoga instructor will be sharing Vinyasa yoga, as well as Yin Yoga, guided meditation and pranayama (breathing technique). With a background in Psychology Mandy’s love for yoga grew out of a keen interest in alternative therapies over a decade ago; she now practises and teaches primarily Vinyasa Flow in Cape Town. She firmly believes that yoga is a tool that gives insight into the mind-body relationship empowering us through movement to find freedom both on and off the mat.
Once we can master our inner space with intention we can begin to move, create and live mindfully in the external reality.
