Bobby van Jaarsveld sings the best of a decade at Sun City’s Warm Winter Musiekfees
Multiple award winning singer, Bobby van Jaarsveld, is in the star studded lineup of performers collaborating for the first ever Warm Winter Musiekfees at Sun City on Sunday, 29 May 2016. The popular artist will perform songs from his latest album, Die eerste 10 Jaar, a nostalgic and lively compilation of his best hits from his first decade of music.
Fans can look forward to seeing him perform live songs such as “Spieeltjie”; “Een vir een”; “Totaal finaal”; “My lewe draai om jou”; “So klink ‘n hart”; “Wat geld nie kan koop nie” and “Eens in n leeftyd”. He will also sing some of his new songs such as “Middernag Serenade” and the English song, “It’s Always Been You”.
“With his friendly and energetic stage manner and playing a superb mix of both old and new, upbeat and love songs, there will be something for everyone in this show,” says Cecile Brody, the Entertainment Manager at Sun City.
Since bursting onto the music scene in 2006 with his first gold-selling album Duisend Ure and winning the Best Newcomer Award at the Huisegenoot Temp Awards, van Jaarsveld has entrenched himself as one of the country’s best-loved Afrikaans pop artsists. Regularly performing in intimate shows at venues across the country and at some of South Africa’s biggest music festivals, van Jaarsveld has also shown his versatility as an all-round entertainer.
Other artists on the bill for the Warm Winter Musiekfees, at Sun City’s new events venue, Sun Park are Die Heuwels Fantasties; ADAM; Dozi, Pieter Koen, Jannie Moolman, Pieter Smith and Talana Vuuren. With a decidedly and authentically South African feel, the Warm Winter Musiekfees is produced and staged by Sun City and MPM (Musiek Profile Management) and will showcase the diversity and energy of the country’s very best Afrikaans pop and rock entertainers. Revelers will be treated to an afternoon of superlative entertainment, a vibrant beer garden and delicious food. The festival will commence from 12h00 and conclude at around 18h00.
