I don’t have much but the Mozambican crisis caused by Tropical Cyclone Ida has reminded us that we have more than we need.
I’m the kind of person who needs a specialized spatula, whisk, chopping board, and wooden spoon for every occasion- but I don’t need twelve of them considering that I barely use them!
Vanity and pride are one thing, but sometimes necessity is everything to those in need.
Your one unused household item can make the world of difference in the world of someone who has nothing. It might feed a family, it might keep one person warm. Even a book can make a difference in someone’s life.
Please contact 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day (South Africa) about how your donation can be used.
Just a personal note from me: Don’t send your dirty, unwashed, shitty, stained crap to an NGO. Show some respect by donating something that you would want to own.
Need to find a dropoff point where you can donate something towards the Mozambican crisis?
67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day are hosting a nationwide Magical Moments 4 Mandela where they will be exhibiting all blankets knitted by their knitwits – they will also be accepting donations from anyone wanting to donate clothes or goods towards the victims of the Tropical Cyclone Idai can deliver goods to each site on Sunday, where Stuttafords Van Lines will deliver to Mozambique, this follows a call from Mrs Graca Machel to the founder 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day Carolyn Steyn asking for the organisation to assist.
