Father’s Day will be marked with a weekend of man-sized fun and hearty food across the Sun City Resort. Amongst the highlights of the Father’s Day weekend at Sun City is EFC 50 on Friday, 17 June when the headline bout will be the welterweight title fight between Martin ‘The Punisher’ van Staden and Dricus ‘Stillknocks’ du Plessis.

Most of Sun City’s vibrant bars and lounges, including Luma Bar and Lounge at The Cascades, Harlequins at the Sun City Hotel, the island-style Cabanas Pool Deck, The Brew Monkey at the Valley of Waves, The Palace’s Tusk Bar & Lounge and the SunVacation Club pool will feature free live bands and artists on the Friday and Saturday evening.

The new Legends restaurant at the Sun City Hotel will host Jika-Jika for a toe tapping performance from 19h00 to 22h00 on the Sunday. And for sports lovers, The Brew Monkey will have live screenings of the major fixtures.

At Cherry, dads can tuck into a satisfying 400g beef burger and one litres of Castle Lite for just R180 after a round of golf on one of the resorts award winning golf courses or a trip on one of the world’s longest zip slides. There are over 26 restaurants to choose from at Sun City, with many offering something special on their menus to mark father’s day.

“Aside from great food, entertainment and live music, there is a dizzying array of activities that dads and their families can enjoy over the Father’s Day weekend. Perhaps thrilling stint on the Drift Trikes at our adventure hub, Adrenalin Extreme, or a Rhino Tracking Experience with Mankwe Gametrackers might be the way to celebrate with dad this Father’s Day. There is always something to do at Sun City,” says Andrew Irumba, Marketing Manager at Sun City.

Guests can visit the Welcome Centre to find out more about what activities are on offer at the complex.
