Rock the Craft with the alchemists of SA’s finest brews #Beer @SAonTAP

Every year the architects of SA’s finest brews, ciders, craft spirits and wines come together in a theatre of brewing excellence to celebrate the best that South Africa has to offer in our countries biggest craft beer festival – SA on Tap which is now set to be hosted in Johannesburg’s premier entertainment destination Monte Casino on the 8th of April 2016.

2016’s festival is the 10th edition of SA on Tap and will feature over 27 of the countries top breweries all picked out by you off the back of the first ever independently judged South African Craft Brew Awards in 2015. This saw every brewery go head to head over a year long competition, judged by the public and a select panel of BJCP judges. To add to the occasion, we have selected a handful of alchemists in their own right of distillery’s, cider houses, wine farms and a delectable line up of South Africa’s most exciting food trucks which have all been chosen to compliment the brews on offer. Visitors to the 2016 festival will not only be spoilt by the over 180 brews on offer, but all breweries have also been challenged to create unique seasonal one off masterpieces fit for the occasion. Eager enthusiasts can meet and greet the brewer themselves, while newbies can indulge in and learn about the incredible array of aromas and flavours that are synonymous with craft beer inside one of the brew seminars available.

All selections are served to you directly from the taps to ensure that you are provided with only the freshest and coolest beers that South Africa has to offer. The festival will also feature an impressive line up of several top South African bands, Gangs of Ballet, Shaun Jacobs Band, Josh Wantie and Jaryd Smith all there to keep festival goers well entertained from start to finish. Both 2014 and 2015 festivals have sold prior to the event, with many saddened visitors being turned away at the door for not purchasing tickets online. As an added benefit to thirsty festival goers, visitors can choose their glass to match the class of craft when booking their tickets online.

Tickets will be available from the end of January along with the extensive listing of participating breweries.
