February the month of love and romance Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Rosé Champagne

Elegant with a graceful gossamer mousse, a salmon pink sunset colour reminiscent of long romantic walks on the beach, this delightful Champagne has a beguiling fragrance of fresh strawberries, raspberries and rose petals. Summer berries and velvet bubbles dance harmoniously on your tongue and the finish is one of luscious creaminess. Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Rosé is sure to melt away the stresses of the day and get the pulse racing. This romantic elixir is best drunk in a duet: as an ideal aperitif or a perfect complement to gastronomic treats like sushi or smoked salmon. Also marries well with crayfish, Japanese cuisine, not-so-spicy Asian cuisine and mild cheeses, and dreamy with some nice dark chocolate, strawberries and cream or a strawberry soufflé tart.

Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne, (pronounced Nee-ko-la Fur-yat), is the number one selling Champagne in France and the third biggest-selling Champagne brand in the world.

Nicolas Feuillatte, the man behind the brand, was a Paris-born New York entrepreneur, international jet-setter and socialite with friends in high places the world over. He made his first fortune as a coffee merchant in New York and went on to make his second by creating his own brand of Champagne in 1976. The Champagne he created was elegant and sophisticated and an immediate hit with an exceptional group of A-listers, amongst them Jackie Kennedy-Onassis, Lauren Bacall, Shirley MacLaine, Sophia Loren and Princess Diana. He teamed up with a collection of grower co-operatives based in Epernay and the brand began its miraculous rise through the ranks of the Champagne greats to compete at the very top, selling more than 10 million bottles of Champagne a year. Nicolas Feuillatte, the French entrepreneur behind the remarkably successful Champagne that bears his name, died at the age of 88, in August 2014, in the same week as his close friend and actress Lauren Bacall.

Exquisitely attired in pastel pink and jet black, with a gorgeous gift box, the Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Rosé retails nationally at ±R675.
