News about the popular Elgin Cool Wine & Country Festival caught my eye because it will appeal to everyone who enjoys a glass of the good stuff!
The Elgin Cool Wine & Country Festival is taking place during the weekend of 2nd and 3rd May, when Winters Drift and seventeen other Elgin wineries will be offering a weekend filled with fine wines, good food and plenty of entertainment for the whole family.
At the Winters Drift Tasting Station, talented guitarist, Nick Kuiper, will be enhancing the festive atmosphere and entertaining the guests while they unwind on the lawn, sampling 51 Miles and Winters Drift wines and tucking into the delicious offerings from Box Car Travelling Food, which will include: chicken curry served with rice and homemade apple chutney; frankfurter or boerewors gourmet style, served with fried onion and tomato smoortjie, either on a roll or on creamy mieliepap; and platters of Parma ham, Camembert and blue cheese, olives and pickled eggplant served with ciabatta. The children will have access to a wonderful playground area, giving the parents a chance to enjoy a game of boules. With numbers limited, pre-booking is essential. Please call 021 859 3354 or email email@example.com.
Early bird entry tickets to the festival cost R100 per person (over 18’s) and can be bought online from www.webtickets.co.za and include your tasting glass, festival programme, access to participating farms, live entertainment and wine tasting of a selection of three wines of your choice at any of the participating wine estates.
