Africa’s hottest music producers responsible for creating the biggest hits @CocaColaAfrica

 The Coke Studio Africa 2017 show features Africa’s hottest music producers responsible for creating the biggest hits taking over airwaves and dance floors across Africa. They include: Nahreel (Tanzania), Sketchy Bongo (South Africa), Gemini Major (Malawi/South Africa), Gospel on the Beatz (Nigeria), Killbeatz (Ghana), Shado Chris (Ivory Coast), Masterkraft (Nigeria) and DJ Maphorisa South Africa.

Superstar producer, DJ Maphorisa, is behind some of Africa’s biggest club bangers like “Tchelete” by Mafikizolo/Davido and his very own “Soweto Baby” with Wizkid. He is back on the show for the second time producing the collaborations including: Khaligraph (Kenya), Bruce Melodie (Rwanda), Yemi Alade (Nigeria) and Youssoupha (Congo).

Sketchy Bongo is one of the most prominent music producers and DJs in South Africa at the moment, having gained substantial international exposure from his single “Let You Know” featuring Coke Studio Africa 2017 artist Shekhinah (South Africa). He will be producing collaborations of top artists: AKA and Olamide (Nigeria); Liloca (Mozambique) and Lydia Jazmine (Uganda); Nyashinski (Kenya) and Mafikizolo (South Africa).

Nigerian heavy weight producer, Masterkraft, just released a new album “UNLIMITED”. He is making his second return to the show by producing several artist pairings including Alikiba (Tanzania) and Patoranking (Nigeria); Sauti Sol (Kenya) and Chidinma (Nigeria); Mi Casa (South Africa) and Anselmo Ralph (Angola). Together with DJ Maphorisa, Masterkraft, will co-produce music on Coke Studio 2017’s special episode dubbed, ‘Global Fusion Edition’, featuring this year’s international guest star global R&B/pop icon, Jason Derulo, alongside 11 African stars.

Nahreel is one of East Africa’s most celebrated music producers of our time. The multi-talented artist returns to Coke Studio Africa 2017 for a second time as a producer. He will be producing original music and collaboration fusions from the following artist pairings: Mr. Bow (Mozambique) and Jah Prayzah (Zimbabwe) paired with Uganda’s Ykee Benda; Laura Beg (Mauritius) and Sami Dan (Ethiopia); Nandy (Tanzania) and Betty G (Ethiopia).

The five other producers are making their debuts on the show. Gospel On Da Beatz, from Nigeria, will be producing three artist pairings: Falz (Nigeria) and Bebe Cool (Uganda); Kiff No Beat (Ivory Coast) and Wawa Salegy (Madagascar); Joey B (Ghana) and Amanda Black (South Africa).

Malawian born artist and record producer based in South Africa, Gemini Major, of the “Ragga” hit song featuring Riky Rick, Cassper Nyovest and Nadia Nakai, also joins the show. Gemini Major will produce three collaborations between the following artist pairings: Shekhinah and Jano Band (Ethiopia); Sheebah (Uganda) and Asgegnew Ashko (Ethiopia); Tresor and Locko (Cameroon).

Dubbed the best afro beats producer in Africa Killbeatz (Ghana) – has worked with the crème de la crème in the music industry including Ed Sheeran, Fuse ODG and R2Bees. On the show, Killbeatz produces following artist pairings: Eddy Kenzo (Uganda) and Bisa Kdei (Ghana); Slap Dee (Zambia) and Busiswa (South Africa).

Ivorian artist and producer, Shado Chris, produces Coke Studio 2017 stars including Rayvanny (Tanzania) and Dji Tafhina (Angola); Avril (Kenya) and Izzo Bizness (Tanzania); Nasty C (South Africa) and Runtown (Nigeria).
