Adam Richman is a key talent for Food Network across the UK and EMEA and has been a staple part of the schedule since Man v Food premiered in 2012. Richman is the host of multiple shows on the channel, including Man v Food, Man v Food Nation, Adam Richman’s Fandemonium and Man Finds Food.
Adam Richman grew up in the food Mecca of New York City and began his love affair with food early on, sampling all of the diverse culinary specialties The Big Apple had to offer. From samosas to sushi, even at a young age, Richman had a desire to taste it all.
Years later, as an undergraduate at Emory University in Atlanta, Ga., Richman began a food journal to document the standout food establishments he was discovering throughout the south-eastern United States. Though he majored in international studies, his love of all things edible naturally drew him into the culinary world after graduation. Subsequently, he built a solid resume working in nearly every echelon of the restaurant world, from coast to coast and from the counter to the kitchen. While never training professionally, Richman gained invaluable on-the-job experience at the various restaurants he worked.
After earning a master’s degree in fine arts from Yale University’s School of Drama, Richman travelled the United States acting in many regional theatres. The nature of his work allowed him to feed his appetite for the best local dishes across America – all of which found their way into his food journal.
In 2008, Richman began hosting Man v Food for Food Network, which quickly became one of the and Straight Up Tasty (Clarkson Potter, 2015), and is a board member of the Armed Services Foundation and popular lecturer in the college circuit. In 2009 and 2010, Richman won the CableFAX award for ‘Best Host’. He served as host and as an executive producer for several subsequent Food Network shows including Man v Food Nation, Adam Richman’s Best Sandwich in America, Adam Richman’s Fandemonium and Man Finds Food. Richman also served as host of NBC’s food competition show, Food Fighters.
I can’t tell you how excited I am to get back on the road with my amazing crew for series two of Man Finds Food. To be able to share the truly hidden and delicious gems that are out there with people all over the world is really a special opportunity.
After the success of Man Finds Food s1 Adam Richman is back for series two. This series follows Richman as he leaves North America and travels the globe in search of the best local dishes from across Europe, Africa, Asia and South America’s off-the-beaten-path restaurants. In each location, he will sample both traditional food favourites and unearth unique off-the-menu delicacies, experiencing the distinct culture and hospitality of each region.
